Arsenal v Swansea City KO Saturday 10th 15.00

Arsenal and Swansea will be looking for their first wins of the English Premier League season when they clash at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

City boss Brendan Rodgers is hopeful his team can hold their own against an Arsenal side looking to bounce back from the heavy defeat against Man Unt.

Arsenal also have injury concerns, with defender Thomas Vermaelen to miss around a month with an Achilles complaint.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping to make his Arsenal debut

Jack Wilshere remains unavailable with an ankle injury, while Carl Jenkinson and Gervinho miss out through suspension.

In better news for Wenger, new signings Mikel Arteta, Per Mertesacker, Andre Santos and Yossi Benayoun are available to make their debuts for the club.

Brendan Rodgers does not have as many injury and suspension related problems as his counterpart, but will miss the services of Ferry Bodde (knee) and Alan Tate (broken leg).

Garry Monk was with the reserves after returning from a foot injury that kept him out of the club’s pre-season, and remains a doubt for the clash at the Emirates Stadium.

Sunderland will look to continue their recent flurry of goals against Chelsea when the sides meet in the Premier League on Saturday.

Although this fixture, as records will tell brings a Chelsea win, Vilas Boas will be taking nothing for granted and hope to carry on his sides unbeaten run.

Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan is absent after picking up a hamstring injury in Ghana’s defeat to Brazil.

Nicklas Bendtner is expected to make his debut after signing on loan from Arsenal, but John O’Shea is injured.

Chelsea are boosted by the return of Petr Cech, David Luiz and Daniel Sturridge, while Raul Meireles could make his first appearance.

Didier Drogba misses out as he is still recovering from the head injury sustained against Norwich.

Wolves v Tottenham KO Saturday 10th 15.00

An unbeaten Wolverhampton welcome Tottenham to the Molineux on Saturday, looking to make it four matches without a loss.

Wolves are likely to name an unchanged team for the fourth Premier League match in succession if winger Matt Jarvis can prove his fitness ahead of the clash with Tottenham. The seven players who went away on international duty have returned unscathed, leaving Wolves missing Dave Edwards (calf) and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (knee).

Following heavy losses to both Manchester sides, Harry Redknapp’s Spurs side will have a point to prove against Wolves, who were tipped for relegation at the start of the season.

Spurs, however, have a number of injury concerns in their squad, with Aaron Lennon, Ledley King, William Gallas, Rafael van der Vaart and Steven Pienaar all unavailable for selection. New signing Scott Parker should be handed his debut while Adebayor is still not thought to be fit enough to start.

Manchester City v Wigan KO Saturday 10th 15.00 

Two unbeaten sides clash at Etihad Stadium on Saturday when Manchester City take on Wigan in the English Premier League.

Edin Dzeko is likely to keep his place in the City starting line-up after already scoring six league goals this season. Micah Richards is hopeful of overcoming a hamstring injury which led to his early release from the England squad.

Nigel de Jong continues his recovery from a foot injury which has sidelined him this season. Sami Nasri could make his debut but a broken finger sustained on International duty may keep him out.

Wigan’s three new signings, Shaun Maloney, Albert Crusat and Patrick van Aanholt, are in contention to make their debuts against City. Defenders Steven Gohouri (calf) and Antolin Alcaraz (thigh) are the only major absentees, with manager Roberto Martinez reporting no fresh injury concerns.

Everton v Aston Villa KO Saturday 10th 15.00

McLeish’s side are unbeaten from their opening three league games this season, with a victory over Blackburn and draws with Fulham and Wolves leaving them seventh in the league standings.

Everton boss David Moyes, meanwhile, will be dealing with a key absentee on Saturday, with the sale of Mikel Arteta to Arsenal leaving the Scot without one of his most influential midfielders.

New signings Royston Drenthe and Denis Stracqualursi are both included in Everton’s squad.

The Toffees are also hopeful Leighton Baines will have recovered from the foot injury which forced him to withdraw from the England squad.

Villa striker Darren Bent also missed international duty with a groin problem but is expected to be fit for the trip to Goodison Park.
New signings Jermaine Jenas and Alan Hutton could make their debuts.

Stoke City v Liverpool KO Saturday 10th 15.00 

Two of the biggest, spenders in the transfer window will put their unbeaten records on the line in what promises to be an intriguing clash.

Liverpool’s strong start to the Premier League campaign will be tested with this demanding trip to the Britannia Stadium where Stoke City await.

Stoke’s record signing Peter Crouch is set to make his debut against his former club, while the other new recruits Wilson Palacios and Cameron Jerome are hoping to be involved.

Marc Wilson and Rory Delap face late fitness tests.

Liverpool’s fit-again defender Glen Johnson is in line to make his first appearance of the season.

Craig Bellamy is likely to be on the bench after re-signing for the club, but Steven Gerrard is still not fit.

Bolton v Manchester United KO Saturday 10th 17.30 

Bolton’s run of difficult fixtures continues Saturday when they host the in-form and last years Premier League champions Manchester United at the Reebok Stadium.

Bolton have a good record against most of the the big guns, especially on home soil, although they have won only one of their last 17 meetings with United, but they will take heart from their draw in the resulting fixture last season.

United will have their sights set firmly on another three-point haul, following a breathtaking opening to this campaign. They have scored 13 times already this season and will arrive at the Reebok with an 8-2 thrashing of Arsenalspacer Football Europe´s Premier League Preview still fresh in their minds

Bolton’s new signings David Ngog, Gael Kakuta and Dedryck Boyata are all in contention to make their debuts. Stuart Holden played for the reserves in midweek but is not yet ready for a first-team return.

Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez is set for his first start of the season in place of the injured Danny Welbeck. Captain Nemanja Vidic remains out with a calf strain, Antonio Valencia is not fit to return and Rafael is a long-term absentee.

Norwich City v West Brom  KO Sunday 11th 13.30

Norwich City host West Bromwich Albion on Sunday with both teams hunting for their first victory of the Premier League season.

Norwich will be without first-choice goalkeeper John Ruddy, who is suspended for two matches following his sending off at Stamford Bridge.

Defenders Daniel Ayala and Elliot Ward have been ruled out through injury.

Striker James Vaughan could return from a knee injury, but a hamstring problem is likely to sideline defender Zak Whitbread.

West Brom could possibly have both of their key strikers back for the match at Carrow Road, as forward Shane Long and Nigeria international Peter Odemwingie continue to recover from calf and ankle injuries respectively.

Injured Hungary midfielder Zoltan Gera is not expected to feature.

Fulham v Blackburn Rovers KO Sunday 11th 16.00

Fulham and Blackburn hope to put disastrous starts to the English Premier League season behind them on Sunday when they clash at Craven Cottage.

The two clubs only have a point a piece to show between them after a disappointing month of August.

Fulham could give debuts to new signings Bryan Ruiz, Zdenek Grygera and Orlando Sa.

Simon Davies remains sidelined by a knee injury, while the Londoners will assess John Arne Riise, who returned from injury on international duty.

Blackburn are without midfielder Morten Gamst Pedersen because of a hamstring problem, while Ryan Nelsen and David Dunn are rated doubtful.

New signings Yakubu, Scott Dann and Simon Vukcevic could make their debuts.
